Forbes magazine's 18th annual ranking of the world's wealthiest people recorded that Russia's billionaires has risen to 25, up from 17 last year, and their assets almost doubled and grew to USD 79.5 billion from 35.5 billion in one year.
Russia, with more billionaires than Japan, is the country with the third largest group of billionaires, behind the United States with 279, and Germany with 52. Moscow, with 23 resident billionaires, is only eclipsed by New York, with 31.
